Flip-Pal mobile scanner conveniently scans album photos in place with patented flip-and-scan technology, includes window protector sheets Feature

  • Keep your memories safe using patented flip-and-scan technology. Fragile letters, historical, military and family history documents are treated safely on the flat bed rather than fed through a sheet feeder. Take the lid off, flip the scanner over, and use the see-through window to frame the original.
  • All sizes, small to very large, can be scanned. The included EasyStitch software automatically and seamlessly reassemble multiple scans of larger originals such as portrait photos, art, newspapers, historical documents, quilts, and fabrics. Small objects are also scanned with high detail, such as coins, stamps, or jewelry with high detail not possible with other types of scanners or cameras.
  • The Flip-Pal mobile scanner is a battery powered, color flatbed scanner for photos and documents. The included exclusive window protector sheets help protect the transparent window on the bottom of the scanner from dust and scratches and are valued at $10.00 when sold separately. It is handheld, compact, lightweight and durable. Truly mobile; cordless - with no cables to connect, powered by four AA batteries, and stores scans on an included 4GB SD memory card (like the ones used in digital cameras). Comes with first year warranty and 30 day money-back guarantee. 2nd year extended warranty available.
  • Operate it quickly and easily. Just seven seconds to scan at 300 dpi. Unbox and get started in minutes. And, with the flip-and-scan technology allowing you to scan the pictures in place, you will save hours and hours of time not removing pictures, taking them to the scanner, and then returning them to their place. Not only is it quick in operation, but it is quick in getting started. The package is easy to open - no scissors required. Just turn on the power, optionally set the time and date, and press the big green scan button. Simple. There is no software to install, no cables to connect. Everything you need is in the box. • Scanner 10.25″ x 6.5″ x 1.25″ • Four AA batteries (installed) • 4GB SD memory card (installed) capable of saving over 2,000 scans • Stitching and color restoration software (on the SD card) • USB to SD adaptor • Quick Start User Guide • One-Year limited warranty
  • When it really matters, like your children's early years of precious memories, preparing for natural disaster, creating a high quality scrapbook, or collecting one-of-a-kind fragile documents for your family history, Flip-Pal produces the accurate image quality you will need in the future. With 600 and 300 dpi resolutions and colors and textures that are true to original, your important documents and images are safeguarded forever in digital format, protected from loss from disasters and misfortune.

5The Best Tool a Researcher Can Have.
By UTAustin
I ordered one of these 2 months before they were ready to ship. I had been looking for something like this for at least two years to take with me to the library to scan references. I am 64 and have problems with the nerves in my hands that make my handwriting degenerate quickly - and I hate standing in line for the scanner when I could be doing more research. My Flip-Pal takes care of that and more. I scan the references, take them home and put them into the computer with the micro card, and then... the trick ... I run it through my OCR program, and it's typed automatically into my file. With a little comparative editing, I'm done.

It is possible to use the wand scanner in a similar fashion. I have one, I've compared them.
The Flip-Pal allows you to see what you are scanning. The Wand doesn't.
The wand type will do an entire letter size sheet at once. The Flip-Pal only scans 1/3 to 1/2 a page at a time, but you can fix that in the computer.
The Flip-Pal has a little screen that lets you see that you got a good scan. The wand type doesn't and lets you go home thinking you have a load of material only to find that much of it is bad.
The Flip-Pal scans every time, just like a big scanner. The wand type sometimes has to be used several times just to get one to work.

I found the wand frustrating and have found the Flip-Pal a joy.
And it has all those other uses, too. And Pictures that aren't distorted. I'm quitting. I would be here all night telling you how great it is.

5Fantastic, fast and easy!
By Jo Ann Graham
I got my flip-pal scanner last week in the first shipment of this wonderful new product! I have been using it this week while on a visit to out of state family. I have been able to scan over 100 of old, old family photos in less than an hour while they were still in the frames and matting! It is so fast and easy I could not believe it. The scanner is light and portable and fits easily in my airline carry on. This scanner has allowed me to save and share family photos that would otherwise be lost to most of the family. I am thrilled with this product that can also perform normal scanning and can scan 3D items too.

No, I am not affiliated with the company in any way -- I wish I was though since this venture is sure to be a success! It is the best! They market it for family history scanning but it has a million business and personal uses too. Scan old recipe cards or favorite recipes in cookbooks so you don't have to type it in the computer. Make a record of your family jewelry, medals, important documents for insurance and legal purposes and whatever you choose with ease. I love this thing!

5What a great product!
By cynthia hoppe
I read several reviews of the Flip-Pal on various sites. I started scanning old photos as soon as it arrived and the FlipPal is as easy and as great as everyone said it was. My dad was a tail gunner in England in WW2 and kept a mission diary. I am putting together a book of his experiences by incorporating his photos with his text. Many of the pictures were faded, but the color restore feature made them much easier to see. The "stitch" feature is amazing. By making several scans of a large photo, the easy to use program "stitches" them together seamlessly. It helps to leave a good size border around the multiple scans so it makes a crisp edge on the final picture. I will watch to see if this company makes any other products in the future because this one is amazing.
