Easy to use scanner.

The scanner was simple to use right out of the box. Just installed the software and plugged it in. This scans items fast too. I had an older scanner that this one replace and was used to waiting a bit for items to get scanned but not anymore. Both color and black and white work well. It did ok with pictures as well.

Better than we could have hoped for.

I have been using scanning and OCR technology since the very first beta release of OmniPage 1 Back in the late 80's. This is hands down the best most affordable device I have ever encountered. The scans are incredibly fast and accurate and the duplex scanning just makes it that much faster.
The only complaint I have is that it shipped with the outdated version of the software which is not immediately available for download from their website. That said we e-mailed them at about 8PM CST and had the download link in about 15 minutes. Fantastic and timely support.
We scanning away like crazy and reducing 3 file cabinets to 01010101 data so fast it makes my head spin.
The search-able PDF feature is just fantastic.
I honestly do not think you can find a better deal for the money.

speedy and precise

I was using an all-in-one when i started my transition to a paperless work place. The old system wasn't quite cutting it so I went with the sheet fed scanner, big improvement. pretty easy to set up and install, the user interface is not very intuitive so it required some tinkering around. Once everything was figured out though this scanner works very quickly and precisely.
