4great for travel

Well it is pretty compact which is great. The software needs to be installed for Win7. otherwise the driver won't be there. Also make sure the unit is directly plugged into a USB! A hub will cut down the power and the USB is only power source. This caused me a problem, each time I inserted a paper to scan, the scanner would shut off. Problem fixed by directly plugging it in. It won't auto choose black/wht or color, that has to be done on the setup icon. Hit the cancel button once done scanning ( I am guessing it is set up for a normal size sheet of paper).

2no linux

in the ads it says it works with Linux, but first off they had no drivers on their website for Linux, so I emailed them and to their credit they did put drivers on their site, but the drivers did not work with my Xubuntu 12.04 32bit, so I'm returning it and bought a different brand (Doxie).

3Easy to use, mediocre results
By Tabe
Have tried multiple photo scanners trying to find one that scans easily and automatically, but with good results. This one does everything but the good results. Fast scans, automatically feeds photos, nice 600dpi resolution. The results, however, are too dark, no no matter how you mess with the settings. Browns and purples become black, skin tones as fee not accurate, etc. Too bad because I really wanted to love it.
