It is great as we expected. Fast and never had any problem at all.
I will recommend this to any user who wants to scan their document in a very efficient manner.

Piece of garbage

For $2,300 we got a device that the rollers wore out in 9 months. But then I am finding this level of quality in all Canon products from digital cameras, pricture printers like the Pixma 9500 and on and on.
Don't buy this or you will regret it.

My office purchased this unit 5/25/13, it's now 8/6/13 and we're on unit #4 - which was also bad out of the box, so we'll be receiving our 5th unit tomorrow. Canon support is less than helpful, sending refurbished replacements with which we have the same issue every time. I am putting my foot down and hoping like heck to get a new replacement unit the next time we have issues, most likely in a couple days.
PLEASE SEE UPDATE - IT'S WORKING GREAT NOW
